Véronique Le Bihan, founder and artistic director of the perfume house Atelier Materi, embodies a unique and inspiring vision of olfactory creation. At 41, this mother of two boys has combined her love of nature, her creativity and her expertise in the world of cosmetics to build a brand with a strong and refined identity.
Originally from Brittany, Véronique grew up in an environment imbued with the serenity of nature and the power of the ocean. These wild landscapes nourished her imagination and influenced her artistic sensibility. As a child, she spent her time exploring trees, reading, and drawing. Already, she dreamed of architecture, fascinated by the harmony of shapes and the beauty of structures.
After choosing a more pragmatic path by joining a business school with a specialization in finance, Véronique always kept in mind the goal of creating her own company. She began her career in marketing and development of cosmetics and perfumes, a world that captivated her. With ten years of experience in this field in Paris, she finally decided to make her dream come true: launching her own perfume house.
In 2019, Atelier Materi was born, the fruit of her passion for exceptional raw materials and her artisanal approach. Based in Bordeaux with her family, Véronique continues to explore the synergies between tradition and modernity, offering unique olfactory creations, imbued with poetry and know-how.
Each perfume signed Atelier Materi reflects not only its Breton heritage, but also its commitment to respectful, sustainable and deeply human perfumery.
After spending ten years developing perfumes and cosmetics for brands in France and internationally, Véronique LE BIHAN founded ATELIER MATERI. However, she felt a deep need to return to more authentic values.

She therefore decided to create perfumes that respect time and highlight exceptional raw materials, while engaging in a sincere creative process. Passionate about design and architecture, Ms. Le Bihan also wanted to design elegant objects, intended to be displayed outside the bathroom.
Convinced that the hand of the craftsman gives a unique soul to each creation, she wanted each cap of her bottles, entirely made, polished and patinated by hand, to embody the beauty of imperfection. These details, as in nature, reinforce the authenticity and singularity of her perfumes.
