HISTOIRE ÉTAT LIBRE D'ORANGE

ÉTAT LIBRE D'ORANGE

État Libre d'Orange is an ambitious, intrepid perfumery. Free. Free to create. Free to love and be loved. A different perfumery, with strong biases. A spiritual perfumery, which wields irony, sharpens names, shakes up prejudices, stirs up ambiguity, plays with ideas to reinvent the pleasure of smelling.

The founder of the brand is Etienne de Swardt. He launched ÉTAT LIBRE D'ORANGE in 2006. The name of the brand is a nod to his native region, the ÉTAT LIBRE D'ORANGE, which freed itself from British rule in 1854. Thus, the expression 'Etat Libre d'Orange' evokes a free territory. So, inevitably, it is felt in the perfumes! They are free, bold, full of passion. Whether in the compositions or the names, nothing is conventional, everything breaks the usual codes of perfumery.

The founder was director of perfumes at Givenchy, then headed the perfumes of the LVMH group. He launched the world's first perfumes for pets, 'Oh my dog! and Oh my cat!'. Upon their launch, these colorful fragrances quickly seduced the market in 85 countries, becoming the favorite brand for the animals of many Hollywood stars.

This freedom is reflected in the perfumes themselves: they are bold, vibrant and full of passion. Whether in the olfactory compositions or the names chosen, nothing is conventional. This brand strives to break the traditional codes of perfumery, thus offering unique and innovative creations.

The fragrances of État Libre d'Orange, with surprising names and unexpected compositions, break the usual codes. They seduce with their singularity and sincerity. It is a perfumery that plays with contrasts, mixing luxurious and provocative scents, elegant but a little subversive, honest and mysterious at the same time.

Convinced that perfume saves when it moves away from conformity, that it is also a wonderful pretext to go towards the other, that it is a way to find oneself, to love, desire and live. Étienne founded ÉTAT LIBRE D'ORANGE, carefree of conventions and dogma bearers. An invitation for all citizens of the world to live on the skin, requirement, rarity and poetry of materials.
